LSU will shape our students’ ability to understand and communicate with others, analyze and solve problems, and make socially responsible decisions based on literacies in the arts, humanities, and sciences.
Give NowEvery day at LSU, students are participating in research that improves lives, pursuing experiences that enhance learning, studying abroad, and serving their communities to fill resource gaps and effect change. They graduate equipped to succeed and serve, and we believe that every student who aspires to attend LSU and earns admission should have access to the opportunities we offer. We prepare students to live purposeful lives as leaders in their communities and as global citizens in a complex world.
As times change, so do modern leadership qualities. Our undergraduate education should be rooted in a curriculum that embodies the values of LSU—not just through traditional classes but also through experiences. The breadth of these experiences is ever-growing, and we believe they should be available to every student. Opportunity is central to our role as Louisiana’s state university. Ours is a spirit without equal, driven to make our big world a much better world.
Tyree Mitchell, Ph.D., is fierce for developing strong leaders who will drive our world forward. Dr. Mitchell, an assistant professor in the LSU College of Human Sciences & Education, focuses on how we influence each other at work to accomplish shared goals. He also oversees the Live Leadership Simulation, a collection of activities that resemble a day in the life of a leader.
Your investment in LSU, in support of the campus you choose, will reflect your dedication to shaping our role in leading Louisiana and impacting the world.
